Our Story
Travel Tales is a coming-together of lovers of travel, especially lovers of nature, of the wild, and of the mountains.
It began with simple, innocent adventures for personal pleasure – vacations and holidays, trips and treks – “because we need a break” – or so we told ourselves. But every time we hit the road, we discovered a fresh treasure trove of stories and fell more hopelessly in love. Travel became easier and easier until it was second nature.
But somehow, back home, the myth persisted that travel was complicated and scary. And that is where the desire to share our experiences and love for the mountains was born. We wanted our friends to find their own stories in the mountains, to discover and fall in love with the simple pleasures that nature offers us.
Travel Tales is an endeavor to make travel easier, to share our love for the beautiful world we live in, and to give life to many more stories of travel and adventure. We offer unique experiences and customizable itineraries that will enable you to make the most of the time you have, to see the best that nature has to offer.
We are based in Gurgaon and our primary area of operation is in Himachal and Uttarakhand. We take pride in our ability to understand and cater to your unique needs and expectations – whether you’re on a solo trip, an adventure with friends, a family outing, a school excursion, or a corporate getaway.
Who We Are

Sachin’s love affair with travel began over a decade ago, where even as he held a corporate job, working as a consultant with organizations like Oracle and Ernst & Young, he grabbed every opportunity to travel. He went on cycling trips and ran marathons, certified as a scuba diver and as a skier. He ventured into the mountains several times – Everest Base Camp, Leh, Spiti, Tawang, Roopkund and many more.
With each trip, his desire to travel only grew stronger, until he decided to take the plunge and became one of the founding members of Travel Tales. Since then he has found a way to put his extensive travel experience to use, and he has also got a certification in wilderness first aid and CPR.
It is his high spirits, energy, and enthusiasm that set the tone for our trips. If there’s something stronger than his fun-loving nature, it’s his passion to create and curate unforgettable experiences for our guests. Nothing gives him more satisfaction and joy than the happy stories of our Travel Tribe.
